HAZWOPER 16 Hour

HAZWOPER stands for hazardous waste operations and emergency response. Across all industries, workers are tasked with such operations, which include cleaning, treating, storing, and disposing of hazardous waste. To keep these professionals safe as they perform this dangerous work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires them to complete HAZWOPER training. Our HAZWOPER 16-hour class is based on the OSHA HAZWOPER Standard, found in 29 CFR 1910.120. It is designed to be taken after an initial 24-hour course. By completing HAZWOPER 16-Hour for All Industries, participants will be better equipped to work with hazardous materials, as well as keep themselves and their entire team safe. To fully comply with OSHA HAZWOPER regulations, students will also need to obtain additional site-specific training, along with two days of actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained supervisor. The 16-hour HAZWOPER training certification does not count towards these two days of field experience. NOTE: Students must have completed a HAZWOPER 24-hour course as required by the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120 before taking this course.
