Part 48 Surface New Miner Training
In order to enter a mine site, workers are required to take Part 48 Surface New Miner Training and conduct Refresher training each year.
This is a three, 8-hour day, live webcam course.

Part 48 Surface Miner Refresher Training
Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Part 48 regulations require that surface mining workers complete a minimum of 8 hours of refresher training each year. Each student will need to send copies of their current 5000-23 certificates to verify they qualify for the Refresher training. This is a live webcam course. One 8-hour day.
